- Answer Hi Butch- Thanks for your purchase! The transformer in a microwave emits a slight humming sound that is usually not noticed. The transformer is used to power the clock. You may want to reset the electronics by unplugging for 30 seconds or so. - Answer Does it happen for each rotation of the turntable? Checking to make sure the glass turntable is fixed properly on the guide might help.But I haven't been impressed with the "solidness" of this microwave.

QuestionMy current microwave is 1.2 cubic feet inside dimension. Outside 20. 1/2 11.78 H 17 1/8 D (measurements from the manual) 1150 Watts. Can you tell me which is the best microwave to buy that will be as powerful and fit into the spot that i have for it.

- Answer Hi Lenny- This model is no longer being manufactured. GE Appliances will update or introduce new appliances at different times. An appliance may be discontinued for a variety of reasons.
