Q: QuestionI currently have a model # JVM3160RFSS, manufactured in 2017. I want to replace it with a new model but want to be sure it has exact same specifications. Will this one fit exactly in the same space? Does this have a mute option for the button sounds?

This microwave is designed with a 13.5" glass turntable that can be easily removed for cleaning. We recommend leaving the turntable on for best cooking results, this model has Turntable On/Off control that allows it to be turned off for large dishes. It is not equipped with any shelf, glass tray, metal tray, or wire rack that may be found in an Advantium oven to use with different cooking modes. • A:Answer HA HA HA good luck. I was hoping for the same thing and they changed EVERYTHING by maybe 1/4 -1/2 inch. New holes will most likely be needed for everything. Sorry :/

Q: QuestionI am replacing an over the counter GE Microwave with an external vent fan, Model No. JVM3160RF3SS, manufactured in 2017. The closest model I can find is the JVM3160RFSS. Will it fit and will the fan vent externally?

• A:Answer We just replaced a similar GE microwave too. Ours was from 2015, maybe 2014. The vent fan was in the exact same place and yes you are able to change the vent to go UP or BACK.

Q: QuestionI have this exact microwave but it died after 2 1/2 years. Will all GE OTR microwaves fit in the same (installation) bracket or are they all different? Husband doesn't want to replace the mounting bracket.

Improper use and installation of appliances will void the warranty. We do have countertop microwaves that can also be built in, but they do not fit the same cutout as an over-the-range microwave.
