QuestionHi. Our new microwave makes a knocking noise when operating with the turntable rotating. . It is not loud and the oven works very well. Just checking to see if this is normal. Oven looks great with our other new GE black appliances. Thanks

- Answer Mine does the same thing. It's the plate catching up with the spindle. Doesn't cause any issues

QuestionI'm replacing my old GE above-the-range-microwave, no longer made. It was 36 inches and filled the space above the cooktop. The new microwaves seem to be 30" in length. Does this oven come with a trim kit to fill up the empty space on the sides of it?

All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening, therefore, you can choose any model. Each microwave comes with the mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and installation instructions needed to make installation a simple process. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy. GE® 1.6 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven JVM3162DJWW is a nice choice with convenience cooking controls. Also, check out GE® 1.9 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven JVM7195DKWW with sensor cooking controls (senses humidity from foods while cooking and automatically adjusts time and power).
