Hi-this is Sue from GE Appliances. It's exciting to hear of your interest! Over-the-range microwaves must be installed 66" from the floor to the bottom of the cabinet that the microwave attaches to. This can also be measured as 30" from the cooktop to the bottom of the cabinet it attaches to.
