While you may see slight differences in the dimensions between models, all 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. This design is intended to make choosing a replacement microwave easy. - This model, JVM6175SKSS, or the similar JVM3160RFSS model, would both be a fantastic choice for a replacement! They would also provide you with a larger interior capacity than your previous model as well as additional features. However, when replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket and hardware included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I replaced my old GE microwave with this model of GE and had no problem installing the new one. There were two hpoles that had to be drilled but other than that the insaller was here maybe 20 minutes.
