“Our GE JVM1190 Over the range microwave just died. Will this model fit into the same space? It appears that it may stick out further and drop down lower. Will I need to cut the backsplash to install it given the size of our current model? Thanks.”

Hello jmctsuda, Thanks so much for reaching out. We're sorry to hear that your microwave died. We know how frustrating that can be. We're happy to help with a recommendation. All our over-the-range microwaves are designed to fit into a 30" cabinet opening. This makes choosing a replacement a breeze. Please note however, that you will need to use the mounting kit that comes with the model. This is because the kit is made specifically for that model.
