“Replacing a GE JVM6175SK2SS with a JVM6175SKSS, assuming they were the same. Found the SKSS top mounting hole is ~2″ farther from the back. My top cabinet bottom is only 10.5 inches deep, so there’s no safe way to drill a new hole. Help 🙏!”

These models are the exact same microwaves. However, the new microwave more than likely comes with it's own new and improved mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and Installation Instructions needed to complete the installation process.
