Hello - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. This microwave is designed to go over a range. All of our 30" Spacemaker over-the-range microwaves are designed to be installed in the same standard upper cabinet space (30" min. width, 12" min.-13" max. depth, 66" min. mounting height). The height and depth of the models may vary slightly, but any of our new models could work in your current space. If you are not going to exhaust it to the outside, then you will need to adjust the blower to be internally vented. The mounting plate and brackets come with the microwave. I hope this helps! It's pretty seamless but I had to have someone who knows carpentry do it since they needed the tools for the hole to match the designated hole of the range, etc.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Everything you need to install the microwave is included excluding the tools. You will need a drill, drill bits and a ratchet/nut driver. The bracket, templates and hardware (screws, anchors, etc.) are included. Youtube has some good instructional videos.
