“Is the vent for this GE 1.9 cu ft over the range microwave vented to exterior? If not, can you recommend an exterior vented microwave? Thanks”

• Hi BecsFL- GE® 1.9 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven with Recirculating Venting JNM7196DKWW is assembled for recirculating (non-vent), however, it can be converted to vent outdoors. GE® 1.9 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven JVM7195DKWW is the same except assembled for outdoor venting (shipped from the factory to vent out the top (vertically), but can also be vented out the rear (horizontally). All GE Appliances over-the-range microwave ovens are designed for adaptation to the following three types of ventilation: *Outside exhaust (horizontal) *Outside exhaust (vertical), *Recirculating (non-vented). • Mine is. I have a vent that goes up to the attic. I would recommend that for when you're cooking on the stove. I don't think it's necessary for the microwave itself.
