Hey there, and thanks for reaching out to us about the defrosting process! We know how important that maintenance is for your freezer and are happy to advise. This model has a defrost water drain at the front. For the defrosting process we recommend placing a tray beneath the outer drain cap before removing it and the inner drain plug inside the cabinet, and then monitoring the container while the freezer is draining to avoid any overflow. Using a garden hose is not part of our established draining process, but if you have one that will fit the space that may be an option for you.
