“My ceiling is 9' 6" what range hood extension should I buy? Is there any adjustment in it? My old Thermadore the upper piece slid into the one coming out of the hood.”

You will want to use model UXDC72SJSS. This works for ceiling heights of 8' 4" to 9' 6".
