Hey there and thanks for choosing GE Appliances for your home. It’s normal for the tops and sides of the unit to be warm or hot to the touch. Part of the process of cooling the refrigerator is pulling heat to the outside of the unit to help with condensation buildup. Additionally, heat is applied to the edge of the door frame and between the doors to reduce condensation buildup during humid days. Please ensure you have an inch of space around the case to allow airflow. Let us know if you have any additional questions and we’ll be glad to answer. -Gina@GEA
