• You can swap the handle over to either side along with the hinge, so it can be either right or left hand opening.

• Hello Anita - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you. This refrigerator comes as a right hand door swing with the hinges on the right and the handle on your left. However, the door swing can be easily reversed as per the installation instructions. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!

• You can switch the handle once you receive the refrigerator. Easy instructions. If you are lazy then maybe you can have the Geek squad person "handle" that! ;-)
