Hello- We appreciate you checking with us. We are happy to help! Upright and chest freezers require a 120 volt, individual, properly grounded branch circuit with a 3 prong grounding type receptacle, protected by a 15 or 20 amp circuit breaker or time-delay fuse. The freezer should be on a dedicated circuit. You can plug this into a 15 Amp plug as long as it is a dedicated circuit. If you have any questions in the future, please let us know.
