A:AnswerHello – thank you for the interest in our GEA Upright Freezer. GE Appliances products are designed by GE Appliances engineers in the United States. Many are manufactured in the U.S. and others are made globally to our specifications. We make products all over the world for a Global marketplace, therefore, your best source for manufacturing location is the packaging/product itself. We hope you find this information helpful and reach out if you have any other questions. All the best. Lauren@GEA
A:AnswerWe brought the freezer thru a standard sliding door and only our sliding door handle needed to come off. The handle to the freezer was not on until after in place. It fit thru that opening just fine. We did not need to attempt to remove the freezer door as it wasn't necessary.
A:AnswerThank you for reaching out to us! The upper shelves can hold up to 75 Ibs. The lowest shelf is rated at 100 Ibs. For the door, we do not recommend loading the shelves over 15Ibs. We hope this information is helpful; if you have additional questions, please feel free to contact us. All the best – Matthew@GEA
A:AnswerGood day,
We'll be happy to explain! The temperature monitor or temperature alarm is designed to warn the owner when the internal freezer temperature becomes potentially unsafe for the proper storage of frozen foods. The alarm operates on household electricity. If power fails, the alarm will not perform. The temperature alarm will sound if the freezer temperature rises above 20 degrees F. The High Temp will continue to be displayed on the
control panel until set temperature has been restored.
The alarm will sound again if the temperature is not
restored and remains high in six hours. Hope this helps. Wishing you well! Mike@GEA
A:AnswerHello. Thanks for reaching out! The temperature range for this unit is from 0°F to 110°F. We were unable to locate the model number for the wire shelf model, but we would be glad to answer your question if you provide that. We hope this helps, and should you have any additional questions, please reach back out to us!- Kianna@GEA
A:AnswerHi Adeck, thanks for your question! This unit is garage ready. The correct operating temperature of chest and upright freezers, including smaller, compact models is -5 to +5 degrees Fahrenheit. In order to take the temperature of solid food, place a thermometer between frozen packages or in some ice cream. We hope that this helps! Stay safe. -Michael
