• About another inch, so u can open bottom crisper bin.

• Hi jbd - Thanks for your interest in GE! The refrigerator does not have zero clearance hinges. Width w/Door Open 90 Degrees Less Handle= 28.5 in. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue
