• Hi Jl- Thanks for considering GE! While decibel (sound) ratings are not available for refrigerators, our refrigerators continue to be manufactured with as quiet an operation as possible. When the surrounding noise is low, you may hear a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound while it is operating. Also, it has smooth rounded doors (not textured). The color-matched case is textured. It is equipped for optional Icemaker Kit IM4D or IM4LED. In addition to making ice, IM4LED instantly adds bright LED lighting to the freezer compartment. Keep in touch! SUE@GEA
