A:AnswerHi Fishermen - Thanks for your interest in GE! Microwaves are manufactured globally. GE Appliances products are designed by GE Appliances engineers in the United States. Many are manufactured in the U.S. and others are made globally to our specifications. The country of origin is shown on the Model/Serial rating plate as well as the packaging. Manufacturing facilities (plant sites, where appliances are made) can and do change from time to time because GE Appliances continues to seek the most efficient manufacturing processes available. We make products all over the world for a Global marketplace. Therefore, your best source for manufacturing location is the packaging/product itself. A:AnswerHello - Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your microwave. We are sorry to hear of the difficulty you are experiencing and we are glad to assist. This microwave model has a built-in 5-minute internal timer as a safety feature preventing the microwave from cooking without food inside, since doing so can cause the unit to overheat. If food is placed into the cavity before selecting a cooking sequence, opening and closing the door activates the switch, initiating the 5-minute internal timer. The door latch switch must be opened and closed before hitting “START,” which signals the unit that food has been placed inside. The "FOOD" or "Insert Food" message on the display means the microwave thinks food has not been added yet. To correct the issue, open and close the door again and press “START.” We hope that this helped. Thanks for checking. Olga
A:AnswerHello Charlie - Thank you for your interest; we are glad to assist. The microwave JES2051SNSS is a countertop only model. It is not approved or designed for a built-in installation. There is not a compatible trim kit available for this model. Thanks for checking. Olga
A:AnswerHello Ricardo - Thanks for your question; we are glad to assist. Our countertop and over-the-range microwaves require a 120 volt individual, properly grounded branch circuit with a 3 prong grounding type receptacle, protected by a 15 or 20 amp circuit breaker or time-delay fuse.
Over-the-range models should be on a dedicated circuit. We hope this information helps. Thanks for checking. Olga
A:AnswerHello rrllee20000006 - We appreciate you reaching out to us regrading your microwave and we are glad to assist. This model has the Sound Level control feature. You can press the Beeper

A:AnswerHi there,
We are finding that the new model you're inquiring about is not able to be built in and therefore you would not be able to use a trim kit to make it so. We apologize for any inconveniences. However, we did happen to find another countertop microwave with similar dimensions to your old unit. You can take a look at it here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-specs/PEB9159SJSS - Trim kits are model specific so if you were to purchase this new microwave, you would also need to purchase the trim kit associated with it as well. We hope that this helped! Thank you very much for your question. -Michael
A:AnswerSorry, you are struggling with power selection. First, press on Time Cook, and chose time (let's say, 3 min). The next step, press on Power Level and you can chose 1 to 10. Then, press Start. Good luck!

A:AnswerHi LLM - Thanks for reaching out to us regarding your microwave. If the microwave runs but is not heating, it could be one of many components. Make sure the “Timer” function was not inadvertently used. Check to ensure the door is closed firmly. Close it firmly, but do not slam. This confirms the engagement of the door's safety mechanisms. Try a reset by unplugging for 30 seconds or so. For safety reasons, we offer no do-it-yourself repair advice on microwave ovens due to an internal high voltage capacitor (can hold a high voltage charge even after it has been unplugged). Special equipment is generally needed to make a diagnosis. If the above suggestions do not solve the problem and the microwave still won't heat, we recommend contacting service. For service, please schedule an appointment at GEAppliances.com/service or call 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737). We apologize for any inconvenience. Keep in touch! Sue
