“What does the top of the washer/dryer look like? My previous one had a smooth top, white like the rest of the unit. However, this one looks unfinished with 2 aluminum pieces riveted together. Is that normal?”

Hi Jennifer, You are correct, the top of the unit is going to be bare metal and unpainted. This is normal.
