Hello- We appreciate your question and are happy to help! The washer cannot be plumbed to drain directly to the bathroom or kitchen sink drain. Plumbing codes don't allow for it, in part because the drain cannot be sealed or else it will siphon water back into the washer. It needs to be drained into a standpipe or hooked on a utility sink capable of handling 9.5 gals (36 L) per minute. If you have any additional questions in the future, please let us know.
