You shouldn't need to cut anything. Just add a t-connector to the water shut-off valve under the sink.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can connect to the same water supply as the sink, you just need to add a T connector to the water valve under the sink. For the drain line you will need to replace your drain pipe with one that has an appliance branch.
