“Given 120 voltage, can you confirm that the washer and the dryer will operate from a normal AC grounded electrical outlet? I do not have an outlet in the basement (where this appliance will go) that would take a plug for a 240-volt electric dryer.”

A normal 120 volt grounded outlet of at least 15 amps is all you need. I recommend a dedicated 20 amp circuit. The appliance draws 11 amps.
