A:AnswerHey there, and thanks for reaching out to us, We hate to hear you've had an issue with the temperature light blinking and know that must have caused some concern. If the temperature display is flashing, that may be the unit trying to alert you to an irregular temperature. If the freezer is still new this may simply happen because it hasn't had enough time to cool down to normal levels; in that case the blinking would stop once the freezer has had enough cooling time. If the issue is still going on after a day or so, you should check to make sure the door is closing and sealing completely; if there is an issue with the gasket that is preventing a seal, that could cause a temperature issue. If that does not resolve the issue, disconnecting the unit from power for a few minutes to reset the electrical components may work. We hope this information is helpful, but if you continue to have trouble we are happy to assist further. All the best! -Sarah@GEA
A:AnswerHello, thank you for your question. We are sincerely sorry your freezer's high temperature alarm is blinking. Pressing "Alarm Reset" on the control will silence the alarm, and stop the flashing, but the "High Temp" LED will keep flashing until your unit reaches a safe storage temperature. If this is persisting, we recommend you schedule service with us by calling 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737) Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. ET or Saturday – Sunday: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET or by visiting the "Schedule Service" link under the "Owner Support" tab on our website. -Chris@GEA

A:AnswerHi Alicia - Yes, the freezer door can be removed to fit through a narrow doorway. See instructions on page 10 of the Owner's Manual at the following link: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60763-4.pdf - Thanks for choosing GE. Enjoy! Sue
A:AnswerHi Ron- Thanks for choosing GE and for reaching out to us. We are happy to provide assistance. Frost might result from a package of food or shelf preventing the freezer from sealing. Make sure all shelves, baskets and door bins are in their correct locations and do not prevent the freezer door from closing fully. Also check to be sure there are no food packages that are preventing the door from sealing against the cabinet. Also, legs at the front corners of the freezer should be set so the freezer is firmly positioned on the floor, and the front is raised just enough so the door closes easily when
opened about halfway. See page 12 of the Manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60763-3.PDF - If you need further assistance, a qualified service technician is required for an accurate diagnosis. We encourage you to contact GE Appliance Service at 1-800-432-2737 for assistance or conveniently schedule an appointment online at GEAppliances.com: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm?ICID=GEARsupportflyout-service - Keep in touch! A:AnswerHi Mike,
If you are inquiring about the running and start up wattage for your freezer, this information can be found on the rating plate of the unit. If you are having trouble finding that sticker, click on this link for more help: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/find-model-serial-number/upright-freezers.htm - To determine wattage, use the equation: volts x amps = watts. Also, appliances with compressors (ex. refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers), there is a brief surge of power when the compressor cycles on. This is called the "surge" or "start-up" amps, and is about 3x the running amps. We hope that this helped! Thank you so much for your question. -Michael
