Hello L, Good question! We first want to congratulate you on your new GE Appliance. We appreciate your business, and would be happy to help you. We can assure you that the noise you're hearing is completely normal. This happens when the refrigerator is first plugged in after installation, when the doors are opened frequently or when a large amount of food is added to the refrigerator. The fans are helping to maintain the correct temperatures. For more troubleshooting information, use the following link to the owner's manual: (Page 18 for sounds) https://files.bbystatic.com/4d7waeBMdcjfoaV5Avo59Q%3D%3D/53ce3fc1-0288-4f56-b7bc-63983cb57416.pdf It's been a pleasure assisting you. Please let us know if there are any further questions or concerns. Have a wonderful day! -Sylvia@GEA
