Hi - Thank you for this great question and for your interest in this lovely GEA refrigerator. While the wide door bin will certainly hold the weight of 4 gallon containers of milk, 4 gallons jugs would not physically fit on that shelf. You could likely fit three. The photo to which you're referring shows 2 gallon jug containers and 2 2L bottles of soda with a little room to spare. We're confident this refrigerator will make a great addition to your home.
