• A:Answer Hi Bob- We are sorry to hear of the difficulties. Thanks for reaching out to us. Ice production is dependent upon the temperature of the refrigerator. The refrigerator and icemaker must be at proper temperature. The recommended fresh food temperature is 37 degrees F; the freezer temperature is 0 degrees F. The icemaker must reach 16 degrees F before a cycle will begin. On some models the light goes out, and others will turn green; either is considered normal. If you do not hold the pad in, the red light will stay on. Also, if you hold the pad in for a long period of time, the light will go off and then come back on. If this does not turn the red light off, having it checked by a service technician is recommended. Q: QuestionDoes GE make a 22 Cu. Ft.. White Side by Side Refrigerator? I only have 68 Inches for height, and 35 3/4" width. My 20 year old G.E just died and it was a great appliance. I am having a hard time finding a refrigerator that will fit in my space.

Q: QuestionI want to buy an additional adjustable freezer shelf for this model refrigerator (the frig came with 3), but I can't find anywhere in the refrigerator owner manual (or elsewhere) where I can buy one. Anyone know where I can get one?

Q: QuestionJust replaced old GE with this new GE refrigerator couple of days ago...everything seems fine so far,except the warm air blowing from the bottom....really noticeable, feel very warm air on the feet and the floor also becoming warm....is this normal?

In the refrigeration process, it is normal that heat be expelled in the area under the refrigerator. This is normal air flow cooling the motor. Some floor coverings are sensitive and will discolor at these normal and safe temperatures. Newer refrigerators sound different from older refrigerators, as modern refrigerators have more features and use newer technology. • A:Answer Hi Larry- Thanks for choosing GE! Use caution when using a refrigerator installed on a hard floor. Due to the size of the doors and the strength of the door gaskets, it is possible that it may roll or move when one of the doors is opened. Since the rollers / wheels do not lock in place, it may help to place a piece of wood, a small wood wedge, or plastic furniture coaster (with felt on the bottom) under the wheels to prevent rolling. Re-level the refrigerator if necessary. • A:Answer Hi Gary- Thanks for viewing! The interior drawers can be accessed with the door(s) at 90 degrees. Additional clearance may be needed to remove the drawers or to open the door(s) if the adjacent wall or cabinets are deeper than the refrigerator case depth (depth w/o doors). If installed against a wall, allow clearance of 14-3/16" on freezer side to remove bin.
