Thanks so much for reaching out. We're happy to help! The water line must be installed to use the dispenser and the icemaker. We would recommend checking out the installation guide for instructions. We hope this helps. Best wishes. Mike@GEA
A:AnswerNo. It gets lots of fingerprints, although Pledge multi surface seems to clean them up pretty good. Still it's an almost daily task. Especially after the grands are here.

A:AnswerHi Graham, thanks for reaching out! There is not a water valve on the back of the unit itself. This would be in another location in your home to shut off the water. We hope that this helps! Stay safe. -Michael
A:AnswerHi Sue - Thanks for viewing GE Model GNE25JSKSS! The refrigerator is equipped with rollers and leveling legs. To move the refrigerator you will need to turn the legs clockwise to raise the refrigerator. Pull the refrigerator straight out and return it to position by pushing it straight in. Moving the refrigerator in a side direction may result in damage to the floor covering or
refrigerator. After moving back into place, lower the leveling legs until they touch the floor. If you have any additional questions, do not hesitate to ask. We are also happy to help at GEAppliances.com! Sue

A:AnswerHi Kathy,
Yes, there would need to be some space around the refrigerator in order for it to have proper air circulation. 1/8" up to 1" inch of clearance on each side. 1" on the top (this is above the case, not the hinge). 1" to 2" in the back. We would recommend reaching out to your contractor if you find that your refrigerator does not have enough clearance. We hope that this helped! Thank you very much for your question. -MS
A:AnswerHi Grandma7 - Our refrigerators continue to be manufactured with as quiet an operation as possible. We do not rate the sound level of our refrigerators or freezers, which means we are unable to provide a decibel level while they are running. The type of installation (built-in or freestanding), floor type (wood, tile) and room acoustics can all affect the normal operating sounds that you may hear. You should be pleased with your choice. Keep in touch! Sue
A:AnswerHi Mark - Yes! If the refrigerator will not fit through a doorway, the refrigerator door and freezer drawer can be removed (Case depth without door= 30 5/8"). A:AnswerIt's cool. Better than tap water cool, but not as chilled as you might like vs having ice cubes in a glass of water. It's fine for a quick glass of water.
A:AnswerHi Jim - The process for changing the filter varies by filter type (MWF/XWF). When replacing MWF, slowly turning it to the left. Do not pull down on
the cartridge. A small amount of water may drip down. See page 10 of the Use and Care Manual at the following link (page 11 for XWF): https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60805-2.PDF - You can also view videos online at this link: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17443 - Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com - Sue
