Hi Jetta- This is Sue at GE Appliances. We are excited to hear of your interest! The refrigerator features a high-gloss finish. The steel exterior is coated with a high quality baked-on finish. While the exterior is not scratch-proof, to keep your refrigerator looking new and provide protection for the exterior paint finish, we suggest to apply a coat of appliance polish wax at least twice a year. Use a clean, soft cloth to wipe or clean the exterior.
