The fan mode will activate when the thermometer achieves a consistent temperature you set it at. Just use the timer on the remote control. A few times I’ve left it on for 10-12 hours straight and I believe it will affect the motor in the long run (you’ll notice louder sound decibels and stronger vibration . I suggest not running it longer than 8 hours. Perhaps shutting the door to the room will allow less time used. Cheers!

We found that the compressor should cycle on and off to keep the room at the set level of comfort. This particular unit is ideal for spaces up to 250 Sq. Ft. and if it isn't cycling On/Off it may be too small for your room.
