The vent kit that fits in the window is a maximum length of 36 inches. GE may sell a larger kit to fit in a sliding glass door. The other option would be to buy a piece of Lexan or Plexiglass at the local glass shop and have them make a custom "filler" block roughly 12 - 14" inches wide and as tall as the sliding glass door opening so it fits into the tracks on the door. A hole would then have to be cut in this material for the exhaust duct to vent outside. As an example, I made my filler block out of 3/4" shelf board material and used the original vent kit as a template to cutout the required hole. Any rigid sheet material (e.g. plywood, plexiglass etc..) that can be cut to length and a hole cut for the duct to vent to the outside would also work and might be less expensive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m going to attempt to answer this as accurately as I can. The window vent attachment measures to approximately about four ft wide/ tall. So NO it isn’t large enough for it.
