I am so sorry everyone! Turns out the ice maker was on. After turning off the maker, the refrigerator is silent. Keeps temps perfect (refrigerator 37 degrees and freezer at zero, factory settings). I could not be happier with this choice.

The new high efficiency compressor may run faster and longer than your old refrigerator. The normal operating sounds are provided on page 38 of the Owner's Manual at the following link: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60805-1.PDF - You can also view a video at this link: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=15901 - We hope this is helpful.
