Hello- Thank you for your question. We are happy to help! For single and double wall ovens, the vent is below the door to keep electronics cooler, improve appearance, and provide a better door seal at the top. Both of these ovens are self-cleaning. When you want to run a self-clean, make sure to select either the upper or lower oven first, then run the self-clean cycle. We hope this helps.
