“Can I have my new GE stacked washer and drier installed in a carpeted closet or must it be removed. If so what type of flooring is needed.”

Hi Shirl- We do not recommend installing the unit on carpet. The floor must be a hard surface. Anytime you can get a washer and dryer on a floor that is not carpet is always best. It vinyl floor keeps water some what trapped so it doesn't leak everywhere. If removing the floor isn't an option then yes, the carpet will be fine.
