• Hi Grand- Thanks for viewing GE! Our Unitized Spacemaker® Washer and Electric Dryer GUD27ESSMWW requires 240V or 208V single-phase 60 Hz electrical service and should be protected by 30-amp time-delay fuses or circuit breakers KW Rating per voltage (240/208). The figure 120/240 simply means one side of the 240 line operates the motor and 240 operates the heaters. If you try to operate on 120 volts only, the heaters will not work efficiently to dry the load.
