A:AnswerMy dryer does get hot and it dries a load of clothes, bed linens or towels in much less than 90 minutes. More like 40 minutes. I just set the dryer dial to "optimum" and it seems to work perfectly.
A:AnswerI think it is quieter than my old full size washer/dryer. The only thing I dislike is that it does not have an alert to let me know it is finished.

A:AnswerI have yet to use it because we got it for work and are just having it installed this week. We were waiting on a plumber.
I will for sure check that out to see if it does it as well.
A:AnswerHi Will. Good question! There is a LOAD SIZE knob on this unit that will allow you to choose the water level for your laundry. Precise Fill is allowing the unit to sense the weight of the clothing and add the proper amount of water for you. We hope that this helps! Stay safe.
A:AnswerHi Arty - Thanks for choosing GE! Light, Medium and Heavy (Colors/Whites) refers to the soil level of the load and allows you to tailor to more or less soil in the load. Also, the chart on page 7 of the Owner's Manual at the following link will help you match the items to be washed with the best washer cycle settings: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-90581-3.pdf - Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com - Sue

A:AnswerHi - Thanks for reaching out to us and for choosing GE GUD27ESSMWW. We are sorry to hear the dryer is not heating and glad to help. This is frustrating, we know. The dryer requires connection to a home 30 amp dual circuit breaker or two 30 amp fuses and should be on a separate 208V/240V electrical outlet.
An electric dryer may run with a partial voltage of 110 volts, but it will not heat unless it has 208/240V, 30 amps. The home circuit breaker could have partially tripped, even if it does not look as though it has. Turn off the breaker to the dryer and turn it back on to restore full power. Make sure you have the right timer selection, fabric setting, and temperature selection. The timer should be set to dry and not fluff (no heat). We suggest viewing the following link- ELECTRIC DRYER RUNS, BUT DOES NOT HEAT: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16921 - If you need further assistance, a qualified GE service technician is required for an accurate diagnosis. To schedule
service online, visit us at GEAppliances.com or call 1.800.GE.CARES (800.432.2737). Please have your serial number and your model number available when calling for service. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope this is helpful. Keep in touch! Sue
A:AnswerHi Kel - You can add detergent and detergent pods to the washer before adding clothes. You can dissolve liquid/power detergent in hot water before pouring it into the wash basket if desired. Also, the washer will fill with water with the lid up if you manually choose the load size- Small, Medium, Large, Super. Keep in touch. We are always glad to offer assistance- GEAppliances.com -Sue
A:AnswerHey there, and thanks for this great question! We know making sure the unit is level is important, and we're glad to help. The Installation Instructions have a ‘Tools You will Need’ section that specify you would use two 10” adjustable wrenches and an 8” pipe wrench while installing the overall unit. Those Instructions also have details on how to level and stabilize the unit specifically, on page 17. When the appliance is in its final position, you can tilt it forward until the rear legs are off the ground, then set it down gently to allow the rear legs to self adjust. You can screw the front leveling legs up or down to make sure the appliance is level, turn the lock nuts on each leg up toward the base of the unit and make it snug with a wrench. If viewing the Installation Instructions may be helpful, you can do so on our GE website by looking up the model number and going to the product page; there is a link for the Installation Instructions on that page. We hope this information is helpful, and are glad to assist if you have any other concerns or inquiries. We wish you all the best! -Sarah@GEA
