No it’s not scratch proof but you can get a product that will buff out any scratches as long as you don’t abuse it it should be fine

No. It’s glass so will scratch. However,so far it is scratched. Used every day and used with heavy ale Creuset pans. I use the weiman’s glass cooktop cleaner and it always comes back looking like new.
