Hello- Thank you so much for your question. Cooktops are hard-wired and will not have a plug. It has 3 wires - red, black, and bare ground. (The neutral from the house is not used and should be capped)You must use a two-wire, three conductor 208/240 VAC, 60 Hertz electrical system. A white (neutral) wire is not needed for this unit. The cooktop must be installed in a circuit that does not exceed 125 VAC nominal to ground. If you have any questions in the future, please let us know. We are here to help! Joyce@GEA
