Q: QuestionWhat is the best way to clean the glass cooktop?
Asked by meathead.
This question was asked about the related product: GE - 30 in. Wide 5 Elements 5.3 Cu. Ft. Freestanding Electric Convection Range with Steam Cleaning and EasyWash Tray - Black
- A:Answer Before using the glass cooktop for the first time, we recommend cleaning it with an approved cooktop cleaner such as Weiman's or CeramaBryte. This helps protect the cooktop and makes cleanup easier. Shake the cleaning cream well and apply a few drops directly to the cooktop. Use a paper towel or cleaning pad to clean the entire cooktop surface. Then use a dry cloth or paper towel to remove all cleaning residue. There is no need to rinse; however, it is important that you do not heat the cooktop until the cream has been cleaned off. For burned-on residue, we recommend using the CeramaBryte cleaning pad, and/or the razor scraper with the cleaning cream. Please see page 23 of the manual for this model by visiting the product page, clicking on the "Features" tab, and navigating to the "Manuals and Guides" section.

This question was asked about the related product: GE - 30 in. Wide 5 Elements 5.3 Cu. Ft. Freestanding Electric Convection Range with Steam Cleaning and EasyWash Tray - Stainless Steel
