Hey there, We absolutely understand how this could be confusing and will be happy to explain. This model has 3 removable and washable grease filters. This model also has 2 charcoal filters that must be replaced every 6 months. Our apologies for the confusion and hope this clears things up. All the best! Mike@GEA
