• A:Answer The front/trim is not the problem. It is the bottom! The microwave will not sit level with the old kit. GE made it just a little different to make customers buy the old kit

Q: QuestionWhat is the hight of base rail? I bought another GE microwave trim (Model:JX9153SJSS). The base rails are too high (no way to adjust) and make the microwave oven raised too high so make the trim too high. The cabinet door above it cannot open.

• A:Answer Went threw the same hassle 3x. Finally took all my dimensions again and said forget the microwave, start with a trim kit that fits first. Once found it lists microwaves that it will fit. Just buy the one you want and presto, you’re done. Trying it the other way around is painful.
