This model of microwave is only able to be installed on a countertop and has not been tested or approved for built-in installation. Q: QuestionIs JX7230SLSS (stainless steel) trim kit still available (Oct 2020)? I am getting conflicting answers. GE customer service says no, only the black trim kit (JX7230DLBB) is available. But many stores seem to show stainless steel is available to order.

Q: QuestionI have the Trim Kit JX7230SLSS. Is it possible to order just an upper bracket? If there isn't one that normally comes with this model, is there one that comes with another model that will fit and match the color?

• A:Answer I am not clear on your question. Let me go with an assumption that either you do not or did not have parts that normally come with trim kit at time of purchase or something changed at the location where you normally place the Microwave resulting in recalibration of install of microwave and associated measurements. If my assumption is correct, I suggest going with both upper and lower brackets as this will make the trim and looks secure and sturdy. There is trim model JX7227SLSS that you can try but a word of caution that it is for 27 inch microwave depth. Ultimately, any trim will need to align ‘exactly’ with your microwave measurements and obviously your need/preference on look and feel. Hope this helps. If you have additional questions, let me know
