“Why doesn't this washing machine have a dispenser for the detergent?”

Why the manufacturer designed it w/o a detergent dispenser, I do not know. It does, however, provide for dispensing fabric softener if you so choose. I suppose with the introduction of detergent pods, they did not see the necessity.
