Hi — kinleycolten195562- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for your purchase! The agitator is designed to be slightly loose. This "wobble" allows the agitator to flex with the clothes when washing heavy loads, which helps protect clothing. The agitator does not need to be tightened; this is normal. The agitator could come off the base if not seated properly. It can easily be snapped back in place: 1.Line up the grooves in the agitator auger with the agitator base. 2.Turn counter-clockwise until it locks into place. If you need further assistance, we encourage you to contact GE Consumer Service at 1-800-432-2737 for assistance or conveniently schedule an appointment online: http://www.geappliances.com/service_and_support/service/ - Thanks for reaching out to us!
