A:AnswerHi Lee, thanks for reaching out! The question about if a particular washer will accommodate a king size comforter is a tricky one, simply because there is so much variability in comforter thickness. A thick queen size comforter can be substantially bulkier than a thinner king size comforter, so generically stating that a given washer can accommodate a certain size comforter is risky. As with any bulky item being washed, there will be limited movement of the item in the washer so we always recommend to pretreat any stains on bulky items before washing and to be sure to load the item(s) evenly to foster them washing well and spinning up smoothly. Hope this helps! -Michael@GEA
A:AnswerHey there, this is a great question. Yes, this unit has the ability to pump water 7' up and out. However, according to page 18 of the installation instructions, a drain hose extension is needed for discharge
heights from 60" - 96". The part number for this drain hose is WH49X301. We hope this is helpful! If you have any other questions, you can e-mail us using the Contact Us page on our website and a member of our team will be glad to help. - Guy@GEA
A:AnswerHi Dan, thanks for reaching out to us. Open-box items are goods returned by customers, inspected by the retailer, found to be in working order, and re-sold at a discount, rather than returned to the manufacturer. With this being said, we suggest you check with your local Best Buy about a floor model or an out of box appliance because we ship all appliances in a sealed box. If you have any other questions, you can e-mail us using the Contact Us page on our website and a member of our team will be glad to help. - Guy@GEA
A:AnswerHey Mare, thanks for reaching out. The decision to not include an option for dark clothing was made by our product team for this particular unit. With that being said, we recommend using the Medium (Normal) Colors cycle. We hope this is helpful! - Guy@GEA

A:AnswerHi MJ - Thanks for reaching out to us and for your patience! We appreciate your interest in this top load washer and are happy to answer this for you. The minimum clearance needed for proper installation between the washer and adjacent walls is 3" in the rear, 2" in the front, and 0" on either side. We hope that this helps! -Eliza@GEA
A:AnswerNow...It takes up more space. I bought this machine because it was the only machine that the dimensions appeared to be small enough to fit into my laundry closet. Once the installation was completed the machine was too big and was over the threshold of the closet and the doors had to come off.
A:AnswerBethany - Thank you for your inquiry; we are glad to assist. We would like to communicate with you directly and would like some additional information regarding your question. Please contact us at: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/contact.htm

Please reach out to us on our Contact Us page or social media with your model number so we can look into this. Thanks! - John@GEA
A:AnswerTub is large. can hold typical basket but in my opinion, try water levels for your wash. i had very old washer that uses more water, guess i just need to get used to this more.
A:AnswerHello Sel - Thank you for this insightful question. We would love to share more about this amazing washer.
All GE Appliances washer tubs move freely within our exclusive auto balance suspension system. It is a rod and spring floating suspension, designed to withstand extensive out of balance situations without the need for an "out of balance" switch.
During an out of balance load, the basket is allowed to "float" forward and backward, side to side, and up and down, yet it never touches the floor nor is it even connected to the floor. As a result, the clothes basket can move freely, and this is normal.
We hope this helps. Keep in touch! - JB
A:AnswerI would still take bedspreads to laundromat because while the tub would hold the bulk, it is the weight when wet that is stressing the machine. Plus, you probably would want to dry it in a commercial dryer so it dries completely! You don’t want to spend a lot of $ on a new machine and break it !
