HI BSP - Thanks for reaching out to us regarding the lint. Mixing "lint producing" fabrics with "lint collecting" fabrics allows lint to transfer to other garments. This is one of the most frequently found causes of linting. New towels can also create excessive lint. Washing (agitation) beyond what's necessary to clean clothes will generate lint. Shorten wash time (choose normal or light soil) for smaller loads or lightly soiled. Setting the water level switch to a higher setting than needed will cause linting due to excessive movement of the clothes in the water. Overloading can prevent lint from being flushed away during the washing process as well as increase the effect of clothes rubbing against one another and generating lint. Loosely load clothes no higher than the top row of holes in the washer tub. Too much bleach will damage fabric and cause excessive lint. We suggest to view the following link- LAUNDRY LINT CONCERNS AND SOLUTIONS: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17430 - We hope these tips are helpful. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, they are not new towels. My other loads of laundry come out fine. So far, only the towels have the lint issue. I can't see the lint on them when I put them in the washer.
