I am the same way! I always added my detergent to the water when my old machine was filling. I hated having to by a new machine. This washer has a detergent dispenser that releases the detergent while it's filling with water which I've found works well. A lot of new top load machines don't have that which means you have to put detergent on dry clothes - weird! This machine allows you to pause any time so you could add the detergent at that point. The lid only locks during the "sensing" cycle which I don't use (I like to select how much water to fill the tub) and during the spin cycle. This was the closest machine I could find with the features of the old style washers. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can add clothes, detergent the lid does not lock and it doesn’t stop. You can pause it but there is no need to.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No and cycles are longer than my previous washer but i always use extra rinse optiin
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.add the detergent before you close the lid. It locks the lid for periods of time so you can't add clothes for awhile. You get used to the choices but it is confusing initially. It takes a lot longer, but the clothes do get cleaner--just allow the time.
