A:AnswerI am the same way! I always added my detergent to the water when my old machine was filling. I hated having to by a new machine. This washer has a detergent dispenser that releases the detergent while it's filling with water which I've found works well. A lot of new top load machines don't have that which means you have to put detergent on dry clothes - weird! This machine allows you to pause any time so you could add the detergent at that point. The lid only locks during the "sensing" cycle which I don't use (I like to select how much water to fill the tub) and during the spin cycle. This was the closest machine I could find with the features of the old style washers. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerI had to change 3 washing machines, that I would have a good one, The new washing machines are a headache and gambling. At last I have a machine that behaves good,,,
A:AnswerI did the same (went to the store to try it out) and it does slam after it reaches about half way down. IDK why someone said that it doesn't slam down because it does.
A:AnswerMine is quiet too but once in awhile, it gets very loud, banging noise and it only happens when I’m doing heavy blankets. I realized it happens when it’s trying to balance the load (because of the agitator). So it’s important to load laundry evenly and with heavy beddings especially, you have to wrap the blanket around the agitator evenly. Once I did that, I don’t hear the banging noise anymore.
A:AnswerYes. If you click deep rinse, and use the drain and spin cycle. It will fill.
If you just drain and spin without deep rinse, it will spray a couple short sprays and then drain and spin.
A:AnswerIt has a Quick Wash cycle. Very convenient and takes about 24 minutes from fill time to end of cycle. I paid $50 for the delivery men to haul away my previous one.
