“I recently bought a Model GTW680BSJWS GE washer. The fabric softener won't dispense in many cycles. So far, I've only found one that will work, and that's "bulky items" which uses a deep fill. Why isn't it working on all cycles?”

Hi LouiseBLM68- Thanks for choosing GE! You must also choose the Deep Rinse option to release the fabric softener from the dispenser. When selected, the deep rinse cycle ensures clothes are rinsed of soap residue and fabric softener. Keep in touch! Sue

Please try again later.I haven't had a problem but I always set the machine for "Deep Rinse" when I use fabric softener since it says right on the machine to "set when adding fabric softener". You had to set the machine to use fabric softener on my old LG machine so I was thinking it was probably the same thing. Not all washing machines require you to set it.
