“GE washer top loader model #GTW680BSJ5WS issue. Lid is closed completely filling washer with water then drains immediately even with new HE hoses above 30-40 in. Displays "H20 SUPPLY". I tried resetting by unplugging 2 min and press Start but nothing”

Good Day; My H2O supply shut off mid wash and then displayed H2O supply and sounds like its draining even after water resumed. Apparently GE top load washers have a safety mode for 3-4 mins where this is displayed even if water resumes. You need to leave it on this alarm for the duration and it will shut off the pump afterwards you'll get control. Unplugging would just restart the counter.

If your washer senses a power spike, unbalanced load, or disruption in power it will send a fault code to your motor and may require the motor to be reset: Unplug the washer for 1 minute from the electrical outlet. Plug the washer back in and lift and lower the lid 6 times within a 12 second period. You have 30 seconds to start lifting and lowering the lid. The lid must be raised a minimum of 2” ensure the magnetic connection on the lid is interrupted. Make sure you close the lid completely each time.
