“If I wanted to keep the door slightly ajar for further drying, is there anything to hold the door fixed for this? Our utility room is a traffic hall and would be afraid the door would be accidently pushed open and be damaged at the hinges.”

Regrettably, we do not have anything to keep the door in place while it is open at this time; we would not be able to recommend arranging the door to stay in a certain position while open, as that has not been tested for safety and reliability. Generally, in order to adequately dry your clothes we would recommend transferring them to your dryer once the wash cycle has completed.
