• Hi AGB- As part of the normal operation, there may be some water left between the tub and the basket. If you hear a sloshing sound when you move the inner tub in a newer GE washer, that is the balance ring. This is an enclosed plastic container partially filled with a salt water solution, it is attached to the inner clothes basket, and allows the basket to spin smoothly should an out of balance situation occur. This is a normal sound. Keep in touch! Sue
